Let me be honest and say i can’t remember what i did 4 years back.
Well this leap year will be special. I’ll be attending a cousin’s wedding. How cool is that?
You’ll celebrate your wedding anniversary every um, 4 years!

So let this day be special. Do something crazy. Run naked around Orchard Road. Take 8 shots of  espresso. Something like that.

If you’re experiencing some super duper whopper major slow loading time while visiting the site, i have some people to blame. Tutorial seekers! Zul’s tutorials are SO hot, 22.4 Gigabyte of bandwidth have been eaten up for the month of November 2007. All that from 22, 967 unique visitors for the past few weeks.

I’m always home late on Mondays and Wednesdays. I rush to school right after work and  sometimes the tummy will growl even before i reach home. So here’s a quick hunger fix, for workaholics out there.

I’m not going to do a detailed tutorial, unlike my tutorial specialist extraordinaire , ZuL. Its quick, its cute, and its yummy!

1. Cut a hole with a mug/cup
2. Pre-toast the bread (optional, but i love mine toasted!)
3. Place in pan with some butter or a super small teaspoon of oil (works better with Teflon non-stick pans!)
4.  Let a whole egg sink in, cover and wait..

Now your egg toast is done, eat it slowly…over a cup of warm milk and get to bed. Early bird catches the worm or as known as ‘don’t be late for work!’ But if you still can’t sleep, like a certain Mr.Malique, photoshop your egg toast creation and laugh alone in your room at 1 freaking a.m in the morning!

South Africa For The Win! (FTW)
Say hello to 2007′s Rugby World Cup Champion, South Africa! I’m shocked for words. The Springboks fans must be ecstatic! Its just fantastic.

The match started quite slow but it kicked off with a penalty on the 7th minute. England responded with a penalty minutes after. Second half landed a spectator in jail. The bloke was running around the field taking with him 2 officials, for a ‘come catch me’ session. It was hilarious! Another blooper in this final match was the crash between Montgomery and the big ass television camera (see top picture). I bet it hurt real bad.

Credit for both teams in defense. It was definitely a tight match. Well done lads.

After the match, the trophy was carved on the spot with the champions name on it. Like Zul was saying “I hope they have a spare cup incase something happen”

*Scenario 2, if the carver watches too much Cartoon Network*
Ok, South….Park..

So the cup was placed on the field by a young boy. Before he went to the field, back in the stadium, the cup broke in half!! OMG! It was put back together within seconds. I had a feeling it was only a temporary fix. and boy i was right. When the winning team picked it up, they only picked up the upper half of it. Ah what a blooper!

Kudos to the very gallant and inspiring English team. And Say Hello to your Champions, South Africa!

A few days back, i saw a particular top selling for $10USD and together with shipping it’d cost $15USD to vPost’s USA address. It’s a steal isn’t it?! I’ve never tried them before, and all the hype i got from my friends, i decided to check them out and see if the shipping cost is indeed much more cheaper. Order went smooth, payed by PayPal and 3 days later it got shipped to Portland, Oregon. So vpost emailed me an invoice 2 days ago. I was left speechless when i saw the bill…

No way am i paying 60 bucks for shipping!! Absolutely no way. I’ve had packages coming as far as Honolulu, Hawaii for $11USD. It was express delivery by USPS. The charge was ridiculous in my honest opinion. Instead of charging me for the actual product weight, i was being charged the volumetric weight of a package measuring 46x97x17 cm! vPost charge you by the product weight or package size volumetric weight, which ever is higher.

$15usd + 60SGD = $82.20! = No way!

With that price, i could get a next-day express delivery by FedEx. Ok, maybe 2 days. I called up vpost and talked to the lady. I asked her if there was any way i could deny/reject the package. She said no. The following was how the conversation went.

“How about you guys give it to charity or something. Oh, give it to one of your staff as an early Christmas present! Or you know what? Throw it away!”

“I’m sorry Mr Malique, we can’t do that”

“Urgh. Ok. Can you quote me for returning the package to merchant”

“Sure, sir. Please be informed that an administration fee will also be included on top of the postage for returning the item to the merchant”

“Do what you can, i appreciate it if you could get back to me as soon as possible.”

I so really wanted to let off steam. Talked to some of the ping.sg guys on the shoutbox. Xinyun gave me a very good alternative. Xinyun is a seasoned spree holder and suggested something really good. Repack the item to a smaller parcel! Grrrrrreat idea! I called vpost again.

“Hi i called earlier on and was talking to one of your colleague about returning an item”

“Ok sir, it seems here that your item has already been marked as ‘Return’ ”

“What?! I didn’t even give her the green light yet. Wait, lemme ask you something. Can you just throw the package? Dispose it off, please?”

“Sure why not! We can dispose the item upon receipt of your authorisation email”

“HAAAAAAA! You guys can do that?! How come the lady before this said no?! Good, i’ll send an email now”

“And sir, you have to understand that you will not be given any refunds for the item paid. We are not affiliated with them in any way”

“Of course, that i understand.”

“You sure, Mr Malique? $15USD is alot leh!”

“I don’t mind loosing $15USD then paying 60 bucks for shipping”

So what did i learn? Read the fine print. Its not vpost’s fault i got a pretty ridiculous charge for shipping. It is stated in their website, but no awareness was created. Some stuffs are cheaper to be sent directly to me instead of going through 2nd party vendors. $22.20SGD is the cost of learning the hard way. I don’t mind at all. I’d rather loose the $22 then paying $82 for a top! Would i use vpost again? No.

New Zealand battered the French in the first half, but the French kept it up in the second. Both team kept their composure within the last 30 minutes and the it was a spectacular win for the French. A couple of desperate measures taken by the All Blacks resulted in a loss!

It was a great match regardless of the results.

2 hours before, neighbouring country Australia lost to previous cup champions, England.
Australia 10 – England 12

The ghost of 1999, did resurface. All i gotta say is: Australasia, 4 more freaking years!
