Over the weekend, i went to checkout the new ikea branch with the missus, somewhere in a galaxy far far away. No really, we got lost.
The new Ikea Tampines is located beside the major expressway. All i can see around me is 2 other giant buildings (courts superstore and giant hypermarket), trees and human traffic.
Parking was free, which was a major turn on. Space was ample but it seems like 80% of the whole Nation was there. So i had to park on an “unofficial” lot. No fines, tickets, im impressed!
Check out mothership 146. Ikea like you’ve never seen before. Ben showed me a pic of Ikea Kuala Lumpur once, it was huge, but i dont think it can beat this! Madness i tell ya.
Tell me who loathes Ikea, people Love Ikea. Overpriced furniture, Swiss made, what more can you ask for? Occasionally they have crazy discounts such as $3 pillows. They are comfy mind you. I know cos, i know.
And for those who needs more carbo for that whole day shopping, drop by Ikea Restaurant and try some meatballs. Oh, don’t bring your bag/cart to your table, get a valet. See picture on left. Yes, parking lots for shopping carts. Em’ swedes have thought of every thing.
I could live in the store really. I wish my house was filled with ikea swag. Quoted straight from their kid’s policy:
After all, we are only young once.
Now excuse me while i test out my new pillows.

Yea, di Ikea Damansara also got sale now… ah! must go there tooooo
Well, that goes without saying…
But I just don’t like their system cannn?
Just me? Oh well. Hurr.
I don’t like Ikea furniture… they don’t last very long. I’d rather go to the neighbourhood furniture shop, coz they deliver and put the furniture together for FREE. Having said that, I have bought cheap and nice candle holders and other decor knick knacks.
DramaMama: i like some of their sets and do you notice Ikea has this thing of naming their products. The other day, i saw a rug named Felicia. Go figure.
