I posted a photo on flickr in 2006 of a picture i restored. It was a photo of me running away from my brother, or running towards the photographer (till today, i couldn’t find out who the photog was, even mom was not sure) or perhaps just having fun like what all toddlers do.
In the photo details, i wrote:
i restored a photo that was taken years back. I don’t even recall being there..running around..and looking at the camera.
The location? Im not sure, but my best bet would be the Haw Par Villa, Singapore.Ahhh…memories
I was right, i think. I was at the HPV over the weekends. It looks so damn close to Haw Par Villa! (HPV) The rustic red & white walls are way too similar! So it must have been at the HPV! I might be wrong, anyone has any visual recollection of walls like these?
If it was indeed at the Haw Par Villa, and after a quick comparison, some things remained the same:
- i’m still fat
- The wall barrier thingy stood the test of time, colors and structure are intact!
Its been yearsssss now and oh my god. I had this feeling which i cannot describe when i posed for that picture. Honestly i was this close to tearing. I could imagine seeing lil’ Malique, probably at 2 (looks kinda big for a baby at 2 years old!!), running around, having fun with no worries in his mind. Carefree. So innocent.
And a born camwhore. (my eyes were looking at the lens, while running! ROFL!)
