Malique gets old

The tees finally arrived. A week after Valentine’s day. Pfft. Thanks Threadless! </end sarcasm>

The Missus surprised me with an “Amazing Race” theme like adventure for my birthday.I drove and she was my pathfinder. Like Rob and Amber. No, wait.

I totally had no idea where she was bringing me. We started off the day with Norbit. This flick is a must see! Then we drove off to the other side of the island and settled down quietly in an unusually packed starbucks, each with a cup of hot chocolate. 20 minutes later, the Missus dragged me to some other building and boy, i was taken for a ride. In a cable car! A freaking cable car!

I’ve never been in one before. The timing was right. We spent 30 mins hundreds of meters high above civilisation and enjoyed the spectacular sun set. If only i knew we were going for a cable car ride, i’d have bought some sparkles and chocolates.

Dinner was special. Oh so special that the bill was printed on gold. We had some starter, lobster, crayfish pasta and also a slice of ice cream cake, compliments of the restaurant.

We ended off the day with another movie, Epic Movie. (Har har) I was expecting some major tummy cramps laughing my ass off. I wished!
I won’t recommened it to anyone. No please. For the love of mankind, do not watch it.

I have always dreaded birthdays. Last year, i had the worst birthday ever in my life. And i don’t mean like, there wasn’t any party and all, but my mom was fighting for her life.

I never felt this appreciated, as a person, before. The previous week, the office surprised me with a birthday lunch at the Marriot. My buddy bought me an external hardisk drive filled with the whole 10 seasons of Friends! All 10 seasons!!! How ya doin!
And not forgetting the perfectly planned outing by the Missus!

Hey, maybe turning old isnt that bad.
