Of deadlines, interns, and missing you.

What is Mr.Malique doing on a cold and wet Saturday night?

#22 of Ann Nelson‘s life list says “Helicopter-ski with my dad”

I’d love to do that. Really. Imagine being stucked infront of a computer monitor, on a weekend, working your ass off, trying to finish a job in 2 days time before the working week starts.

I could be out with my girl. Partying maybe or watch a movie with her. That’d be nice wouldn’t it?

No. Cause the bloody intern is taking her own sweet time finishing some simple tasks that i gave her which really irritates the hell outta me. The intern is reaaalllyyy slowing me down. So here i am, trying to finish up the work before the deadline, before i lose my career, before i go insane. The Boss should have just made me do the site on my own.

Now don’t get me wrong, interns are basically learning the ropes of the real working world. But all i see is 3 years of education going down the drain. If you don’t even know the basics, then you will need all the help when you graduate and start working. I was not a design student, not from a design school but i know my stuff. Please end your internship soon. I beg you.
All these has been taking a toll on my personal life. I don’t have time to sit down and chat with my family. I can’t find time to meet up with my girlfriend, which really hurts alot. We were supposed to go out today, but due to unforseen circumstances..i have to work on weekends. Only thing im looking forward is the trip to a beach resort next week.

Oh, read more about the late Ann Nelson. Her life list has inspired many and my favourite is #4: Keep in touch with people I love and that love me.

Mr. Malique, out!

I believe experience is an important factor in your line, or in fact, in any job. Things that you learn in school is useful only if you know how to apply them to real life situations. Keep it going, and don’t give up.

By the way, enjoy yourself during the trip. I know you will ;)
