Of tolerable pain and events.

I am back from 2 days medical leave. Apparently, ze old bastard came back.
(read: old injury)

On the 10th of August 2004 (or was it 2005?), i was admitted to the hospital for acute muscle spasm. It was so terrible, i couldn’t move an inch. Every small move would hurt and if you’ve never seen a grown boy cry, its definitely not a good sight. :P

Anyhoo, im feeling kinda down. The long-awaited trip this Friday would be another ‘sit-by-the-beach-and-feel-sorry’ trip. The doctor said “For the love of God, DO NOT DIVE/SNORKEL!” Ok, ok i get it! So hello coconuts, and a good book. Maybe i should finish up Jarhead. I think i should! Oh, and please God, no rain. I beg you.

FYI, i have already reserved a spot at the beach. This is where i sip my drink, finish up my book, and be green with envy thinking of the fun the missus and her colleagues are having, diving in the middle of the South China Sea.

Oh I can’t wait! (pictures courtesy of tunabay resort, thats where im staying)

On another note, a fellow blogger-turned colleague is leaving the office. Should i stay or should i go? Im asking myself that same question everyday. Don’t get me wrong, i love my workplace, but sometimes, we need space to grow. Metaphoric. Go Figure.
She’ll be leaving on the 15th, and i sincerely wish her all the best. We will miss your corny jokes and sweet smile.

Here’s a personal question from me to you. An open letter.

Do you like what you’re doing right now?

This applies to both working professionals and students. I’d like to hear from you. Soon. :)

Mr Malique, Out!

“Do you like what you’re doing right now?”

Seems like a simple question, but it’s not so easy to reply to…

I don’t actually *mind* what I’m doing right now. I don’t exactly hate or dislike it, but I don’t entirely like it either.

Let’s put it this way, on a scale of 1 to 10 on liking what I’m doing? I’m a firm 5.

    Hurr.

I have to say I do. Or else I would change my path. I enjoy being a student while making a live off internet. It gives me flexible time and much enjoyment. I appreciate what life has gave to me.

Well can’t exactly say i love what i’m doing.. i’m still a student, but i ask myself what exactly am i studying for? for a better life.. so will getting a piece of paper give me a better life.. well that remains to be answered.. i would prob start of with a mediocre salary and then what? It’ll be day to day work and back home is that the life i want? Dreams of being financially free is so much a dream right now.. hope i can make that step forward.. and not leave it as it is .. just another dream.. :]

Cheers Mr.Malique and all the best..! :]
