Guess who’s got a new brand? Paypal! Keeping to its corporate colors, the new look doesn’t really fit the bill. How does this new branding affects consumers worldwide?
More phishing cases!
How so? Read Ades’s take on this. I agree with what he had said. It will and can confuse users. My take on this, it could confuse the user when he/she is reading an email from paypal. Be it legit or a phishing email. “Is this a real paypal email or is it not? the logo looks funny”
I don’t really care, cos i never open up links in emails from Paypal. But a recent email (real one,mind you) from Paypal Singapore, they unveiled a new way to contact Paypal: Through the phone! Local number, local rates! Yeay!
Don’t know which firm did this rebranding. Any ideas? (it might be internal)

Well, at least the logo looks more “solid”, lol..
i think the new logo is better though its not that important for them to change… people already know them what…
Strategies and confusions aside, at a design point of view, the change is a good one. The previous logo was a tad too clumsy with the sharp edges, the outlines made it distracting as well.
The new logo’s a step in the right direction, much cleaner and better kerning. The rounded corners aligns to the friendly and convenient personality of Paypal!
