Sometimes, a little effort goes a long way.

I bought some supplements from bodybuilding.com recently and was wondering the status of my recent order. (their shipping is super fast, claiming 2-4 days from Idaho) So i dropped by their live support chat and had a shocker!

Karate Chop Kayla. How cool is that! I like it when businesses have a personal, casual touch when doing business. “Dear Mr Malique, we have received your email and will look into the matter as soon as possible” Now thats too boring! Boo! I applaud Bodybuilding.com for this personal touch. Kudos!

Another company i love communicating with is Jinx.com
Jinx is my source for geeky t-shirts. Take a look, gaming fans out there..im sure you’d love some of their stuffs.

Muahahah… *thunder*
Drusilla. That’s like Dracula’s wife isn’t it? Once again, another fine example of that personal touch while doing business.

If only Threadless tried harder. Their signature email which goes “your friend, xxx” is a bit too fake. Template. Like you don’t mean it. :(
I know of some friends/companies that put that extra effort in accommodating to client’s needs. One fine example is the man himself, Ridjal of PullUpStand.com

Anyway guys, my number 1 rule of doing business: Be approachable.

If you run a business in any form, be it small or medium or large:

What is your number 1 rule of doing business?

Leave me a comment, or ten! I’d love to hear from you. :)
