Bintan Lagoon Resort
Trip to Bintan was great. Except for the rain. We stayed at Bintan Lagoon Resort, which to me personally, is the nicest looking resort ever! Ever!
Im very impressed with the resort. The bintan experience starts right after you drop off from the hotel transfer bus. We were welcomed by dancers and drummers, playing tunes with indonesia and contemporary influence. Then i had the weirdest welcome drink ever. Ever.
Somehow, i felt like i was in bali. Which is good. While waiting for the check-in time, we decided to have lunch to kill time. Haha. So after snapping pictures in the lobby, we headed to the restaurant. Which nearly cost me my camera. I rushed to the counter and asked if any one found a Canon camera. The lady was so assuring and friendly. I waited for 5 minutes and there she was, holding my camera in her hands! I couldn’t thank her enough. And i forgot her name!
I’d love to have dinner at this seafood grill restaurant. We decided to have dinner here the next night but due to the storm, our plans went down the drain and had dinner at the other indoor restaurant instead. Nice ambience isn’t it? Note to self: Avoid monsoon season.
My overall experience is a whopping 4.5 stars out of 5. The staff were very friendly, even the locals. Nice bunch of people. I learnt a few indonesian slangs/words. No rupiahs were harmed during the stay but truckloads of SGD, which made me think to myself..
“Am I in Bintan or Singapore?”
